A Private One-to-One Retreat in Portugal

Becoming Limitless is a private one-to-one retreat in Portugal for accomplished women at a threshold—creating the space to step away from the life they've been living and listen for what wants to come next.

Becoming Limitless

Becoming Limitless is a private, one-to-one personal retreat in Portugal's Algarve for accomplished women navigating a significant life or leadership transition.

You may be burned out or depleted. You may be moving through loss, reinvention, retirement, a change in leadership or identity—or simply sensing that the life that once fit you no longer does.

This is not a group retreat or a predetermined program. It is a quiet, bespoke experience created entirely around you: your questions, your rhythm, and the threshold you are standing at.

Through meaningful conversation, nature, silence, walking, writing, contemplative practice and spacious time for integration, we create the conditions for clarity to emerge.

You don't come to Portugal to complete my program.

There is no program until I know you.

When You Need Space to Hear Yourself Think

The women who come to Becoming Limitless are often outwardly accomplished and inwardly exhausted.

They have spent years carrying responsibility, making decisions, caring for others and meeting expectations. Yet something has begun to shift.

Sometimes there is a clear transition. Sometimes there is simply a persistent knowing:

“I can't keep living exactly as I have been. But I don't yet know what comes next.”

Becoming Limitless creates space between those two places.

Not to force an answer, but to become quiet enough to hear what you already know.

These retreats offer:

  • Deep nervous system restoration

  • Spacious time for reflection and integration

  • Reconnection to intuition and inner authority

  • Clarity during personal, professional, or spiritual transition

  • A rare experience of being met without expectation or judgement

The work unfolds through conversation, silence, movement, nature, ritual, and rest—not through agendas or frameworks.

Is a Private Retreat Right for You?:

These retreats are for you if:

  • You have reached a crossroads and aren't sure what comes next.

  • You are contemplating retirement, reinvention or a significant change.

  • You have achieved much of what you once wanted, but it no longer feels like enough.

  • You are carrying responsibility and rarely have space to put it down.

  • You are emerging from loss, burnout or a difficult chapter.

  • Your outer life looks successful while something inside is asking for change.

  • You need to make an important decision away from the voices and expectations around you.

  • You want depth and discernment rather than another program telling you what to do.

They are especially suited for you if:

  • You are navigating burnout, grief, or transition

  • You sense something is ending or becoming

  • You hold responsibility and need a place to lay it down

  • You value depth, meaning, and inner life

  • You want guidance that is intuitive, grounded, and human

  • You have reached a crossroads and aren't sure what comes next.

What You May Take Home With You:

  • Greater clarity about what comes next

  • Renewed energy and perspective

  • A deeper connection with your own intuition

  • Language for something you haven't yet been able to name

  • Permission to make—or not make—a change

  • A clearer sense of what matters now

  • Practices and questions you can continue returning to

The change is often subtle—and lasting.

Why Choose a One-to-One Retreat Instead of a Group Retreat?

Group retreats can be wonderful when what you seek is community.

Becoming Limitless is for the moment when what you need is privacy.

You don't need to share your story with strangers, accommodate a group's schedule, participate in activities that don't serve you, or make room for anyone else's journey.

Our time together is yours.

And when you need solitude, you have that too.

One woman. One guide. One landscape. One threshold.

What Happens on a Private One-to-One Retreat?

No two Becoming Limitless retreats are the same.

Before you arrive, we begin with a private intention conversation. I want to understand where you are, what you are carrying, what is changing, and what you most need from our time together.

From there, I create your retreat around you.

Your days may include deep reflective conversation, walks along the Algarve coast, contemplative practice, writing or creative inquiry, movement, nourishing meals, silence and—importantly—time alone.

There is no pressure to fill every hour.

Some of the most important moments happen in the spaces between what we planned.

Your retreat may include:

  • Daily reflective dialogue and intuitive guidance

  • Guided stillness, meditation, or contemplative practice

  • Nature walks and embodied movement

  • Ritual, creative inquiry, or journaling

  • Spacious time alone for rest and integration

Why Retreat in Portugal's Algarve?

Portugal isn't simply where the retreat happens. The Algarve is part of the retreat.

Retreats take place in quiet, natural settings in the Algarve of Portugal, often near the sea, cliffs, or countryside. The land itself supports slowing down, perspective, and insight.

Portugal offers:

  • A sense of removal from familiar roles

  • Spacious landscapes and natural beauty

  • A gentle pace that allows clarity to emerge

  • Cultural warmth without distraction

This setting allows guests to step out of their lives without escaping them.

I don't provide the answers. I create the space in which your own answers can be heard .

Meet Your Guide, Alicia M. Rodriguez

I have spent more than two decades accompanying accomplished women and leaders through periods of change—moments when the old answers no longer fit and something new has not yet fully emerged.

My work draws on years as a leadership advisor and mentor, as well as my life as an award-winning author, contemplative practitioner, and woman who has navigated profound transitions of her own.

I don't believe you need another person telling you what to do with your life. I believe you need the right conditions to hear yourself more clearly.

During Becoming Limitless, I bring deep attention, thoughtful inquiry, intuition, spaciousness, and decades of experience working with people at consequential thresholds. At times I will challenge you. At others, I will simply listen. And sometimes the wisest thing we can do is walk beside the Atlantic without trying to solve anything at all.

This is not therapy, coaching in the conventional sense, or a prescribed personal-development program. It is a deeply personal process of discernment—one that honors your intelligence, your experience, and your own capacity to know what is right for you.

Begin with a private conversation

Becoming Limitless retreats are offered following a private conversation to ensure the experience is right for you and that I am the right person to accompany you.

You don't need to know exactly what your retreat is about before we speak. Sometimes discovering the question is where our work begins.

If you feel drawn to this work, that itself is a meaningful signal.

When people discover their own courage and wisdom, everything changes – for the individual, and for everyone around them, rippling out into the world as a force for positive change and good.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a private one-to-one retreat?

A private one-to-one retreat is an experience created for one person rather than a group. With Becoming Limitless, there is no fixed curriculum or schedule that you are expected to follow. Before you arrive, we talk about what is happening in your life, what is calling for your attention, and what you hope this time might make possible. I then shape the retreat around you.

The experience may include deep conversation, walking in nature, writing, contemplative or creative practices, nourishing meals, silence, rest, and plenty of unstructured time. What we do—and what we don't do—is guided by what will best serve you.

How is Becoming Limitless different from a group retreat?

Group retreats can be wonderful when you are seeking community and a shared experience. Becoming Limitless is designed for a different moment: when what you need is privacy, individual attention, and space to focus entirely on your own life.

You won't need to share your story with a group, accommodate other people's schedules, or participate in activities simply because they are on the program. Our time together is shaped around you, and there is also intentional time for solitude and integration.

Who is Becoming Limitless for?

Becoming Limitless is designed primarily for accomplished women navigating a meaningful life or leadership transition.

You may be considering retirement, a career or identity change, moving through burnout or loss, questioning a life that looks successful from the outside, or simply sensing that something needs to change even though you cannot yet name what it is.

You don't need to arrive with a perfectly formed question. Sometimes discovering the real question is part of the retreat.

Do I need to be experiencing burnout or a crisis?

No. You don't need to wait until something is wrong.

Some women come because life has forced a transition upon them. Others come precisely because nothing is obviously wrong—and yet they know that the life they have created no longer completely reflects who they are becoming.

A threshold can begin with a crisis, but it can also begin with a quiet question you can no longer ignore.

Where does the retreat take place?

Becoming Limitless takes place in Portugal's Algarve, a region of Atlantic coastline, limestone cliffs, expansive skies, beaches, countryside, and extraordinary natural light.

The Algarve is more than a beautiful backdrop. Stepping away from your everyday environment—and the roles, routines, expectations, and responsibilities attached to it—can create a different quality of attention.

We make intentional use of the landscape through walking, time near the ocean, nature, and quiet reflection. Portugal isn't simply where the retreat happens. The Algarve is part of the retreat.
